On November 29, the Countdown Stele Unveiling Ceremony of the 10th International Medicinal Mushroom Conference was held in Alphay Company, Nantong, Jiangsu, China. Professor Li Yu, Director of Academic Committee of the key laboratory President of the International Society for Medicinal Mushrooms, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Shu-ting Chang, the Internationally renowned mushroom scientist, Mr. Rong Weidong, Vice President of China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce, and Chen Hui, Director of Laboratory, Executive Chairman of the International Society for Medicinal Mushrooms and Chairman of Jiangsu Alphay Biotechnology Co., Ltd. jointly unveiled the countdown stone of the IMMC10.

The International Medicinal Mushroom Conference, known as the "Olympic Games of Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms" is held every two years. It has been held in Ukraine, Thailand, the United States, Slovenia, Croatia, Colombia, Italy and other countries. The Fifth and Seventh International Medicinal Mushroom Conference were hosted by China. The 10th International Medicinal Mushroom Conference, to be held in China from September 19 to 22, 2019, will be organized by International Society for Medicinal Mushrooms and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce. This countdown stone unveiling ceremony marks that the preparatory work for the Conference has entered a substantive operational stage.

The Conference held its first preparatory meeting on July 16 this year. It preliminarily drew up the organizational structure of the Conference, the Scientific Committee, the Publishing Committee and the thematic content of the branch venue, striving to establish a new starting point, achieve a new leap forward, and achieve a higher level and greater influence of the Conference.
